Mirrorball- An experimental film

Mirrorball is an experimental film that I created for a project in an experimental film class. The concept exaggerates the idea of mirroring other identities, in an effort to blend in.

Growing up as half-Samoan and half-white in a primarily black and white community was confusing. I was too brown to be white, but too light to be black. There was no comfortable label. I found myself consistently trying to blend in with the other cultural norms. This film illustrates how it felt to conceal my culture, in an abstract fashion.
